How We Started
Yoha’s Helping Hand, a non-medical home care agency in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, was established by Yoha Grissom. From a genuine story of compassion, the agency was birthed in 2018. Yoha Grissom worked as a banker and helped many elderly customers who needed extra help other than their banking.
One need particularly ignited Yoha’s innate calling to help. Her customer’s husband passed away and when she saw that no one is there to help her with her daily activities, she helped the customer with almost everything past banking. It was then the starting point of her starting a home care agency, dedicated to lending a helping hand to those who have none or fewer family members to turn to for help.
Who We Are
Yoha’s Helping Hand is enrolled in PROMISe™ as an OLTL Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) provider for the following waivers and program:
- Aging Waiver
- Community Healthchoice
- Independence Waiver
- OBRA Waiver
- Attendant Care Waiver
- ACT 150 Program
Being approved in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia County, Yoha’s Helping Hand now firmly stands with the goal to provide clients, especially the elderly, with the ability and satisfaction in staying in the comfort of their own homes. It is our pleasure to help aging or sick individuals maintain their independence and freedom.
